AWS Infrastructure Engineer

The role

We are looking for engineers with experience in developing and managing scalable infrastructure in AWS. The role involves a mix of developing and improving new infrastructure, as well as debugging and resolving issues in production. 


The right candidate will have experience in managing production infrastructure in AWS and delivering reliable services at scale to customers. 


You will be part of a team that prides on great diversity. The only prerequisite is a genuine passion for programming and learning and an open mind.


Here are some of the things you’ll get to do, you might not focus on all of them at once but they are all within what the role has to offer:

  • Take over our entire infrastructure and help us improve our devops
  • Update Terraform and Ansible scripts to help us simplify deployments to multiple regions
  • Optimise and improve scalability of the core Zaptic application 
  • Debug issues in test and production environments

About you

The ideal candidate will have experience managing and deploying software that uses the following technology. 

  • AWS: EC2, Lambda, RDS, Cloudfront, Route53, S3
  • Frontend: Typescript (React),  Elm
  • Backend: Typescript (NodeJs), Koa, NGinx
  • Ops: Terraform, Ansible, bash
  • Data: PostgreSQL
